About the owners

Owners of High Country Wine Cellars, David and Debbie Mims were attracted to the High Country and made the ‘tree change’ to Mansfield in 2004 with their daughter Bianca and son Tynan.

David’s first link with the local wines was as a year nine student at Geelong Grammar Timbertop campus, when he picked grapes for the Ritchie family’s Delatite Wines as part of the school’s community service program.

With this great appreciation for wine, by moving up to Mansfield in 2004, they were able to renew that link with the now burgeoning Upper Goulburn Wine Region.

Debbie and David are strong community minded people, and are both actively involved in local groups including the CFA, Tennis Club, Meals on Wheels, and Mansfield Music and Dramatic Society.

Their daughter Bianca has completed her VCE and now studying at Victoria University in Melbourne, and son Tynan is in Year 11 at school.

The family lives just on the outskirts of Mansfield township, with views of the beautiful High Country including Mt Buller.
