Only a week to go until the big day folks, and things are warming up at the cellar door (not to mention the weather door).
On Monday evening we hosted a belated official opening of the business, with our wine partners and many others who assisted in getting HCWC up and running. President of the Upper Goulburn Wine Association Phil Challen (Little River Wines) did the honours, and guests enjoyed some delicious food supplied by Bec Douglas at The Witches Brew.
Wines included Buxton Ridge Molly Jean 100% Pinot Noir Sparkling, Murrindnind Vineyards Don’t Tell Dad Riesling and Shiraz Cabernet, and Ros Ritchie Sauvignon Blanc.
Additional tastings came courtesy of Gioiello Estate (Mt Concord Syrah and Reserve Cabernet/Merlot) along with Tolmie Tin Shed Cider (Dry, Sweet, and Spiced), with the spiced brew proving a big hit-drink warmed up or at room temperature for a great festive drink.
And speaking of festive, now is the time to grab some beautiful Sparkling wine to celebrate the season.
Our range includes Little River (Pinot Noir/Chardonnay), Buxton Ridge Molly Jean (100% Pinot Noir), Ros Ritchie Cuvee (Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier), and Don Kinloch (Pinot Npir, Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier), or give the Little River Sparkling Shiraz a try.
Don’t forget the Cider gift packs or that special bottle of wine for someone special.
It’s all here at High Country Wine Cellars.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.
