High Country Wine Cellars Is On The Move!

“Spring has sprung, the grass is riz,
“High Country Wine Cellars is relocating it’s biz!”

Spring is here, which means a time of melting snows, flowering bulbs, regeneration, and a time of fresh growth.

So what a perfect time to announce that almost 12 months since opening, High Country Wine Cellars is moving to a new location, right in the middle of Mansfield’s main shopping strip.
From October 1, we will be located at: 60 High st, Mansfield.

This is virtually just around the corner from our current location, and is the shop where North East Packaging has operated out of for a few years. Owner Alan Kerr is moving his business off location and we have secured the existing lease.

Basically we will have three days to clean, repaint, and move in, so it’s a daunting task, with heaps of work to do, but the results should be well worth it, with far greater exposure hopefully translating into additional sales.

Timing is just brilliant as the lease on Erril st was due for renewal, and we are heading into one of the busiest times of the year in Mansfield, with the Arts Festival, High Country Festival, Targa, then into the Christmas period.

So pop in and say Hi from October onwards.

Attended a couple of great wine events recently, stating with an afternoon tasting of Ros Ritchie’s new release wines. Once again Ros has delivered on superb, aromatic and elegant cool-climate wines and the quality is just brilliant.

Then on Saturday evening September 6 Debbie and I attended a ‘Meet the maker’ wine dinner at Maggies Restaurant at the Magnolia tree. David Ritchie from Delatite Wines teamed with chef Travis Boltong to present a simply magnificent five course degustation including duck confit, wagyu beef tortellini, and mouth watering semifreddo with poached pear, all matched perfectly with a range of premium Delatite wines.

Now that’s what I call some serious research in the name of business.

Exciting times are ahead, so stay tuned for updates and check us out once the move is complete, and we are trading as normal at our Erril st location until close of business Saturday September 27 (but we might close a bit early as apparently there is some important football match on that afternoon!).
