AFTER the traditionally slow February, we are looking forward to a couple of busy months ahead for Mansfield and here at High Country Wine Cellars, where we feature the very best Mansfield wines brought to you by the Mansfield WineMakers.

With locally made but widely acclaimed names such as Ros Wines, Friday’s Child, Barwite, and Mt Terrible, plus a selection from Murrindindi Winemaers including Sedona Estate and Philip Lobley, there is plenty to choose from.

And we have local beers, including Social Bandit, Wrong Side Brewing (formerly Jamieson Brewing) with their distinctive Raspberry Ale, and Mansfield Brewing Co, all quality craft beers.

Plus, a new kid on the block, Northern Slopes, with their superb Raspberry Wine, which is to die for with soft cheeses and/or any type of chocolate dessert. This wine exhibits a genuine reflection of the taste of fresh raspberries, with a tart, fruit palate that’s not too sweet.

LABOUR DAY long weekend we have two special events (see attached flyers), one at our shop in 60 High st, and one at Mirimbah Park.

FRIDAY evening of the long weekend, we present “Electric Cow” with their debut gig. Featuring guitars, electric violin, vocals, and percussion, they will perform from around 5pm to 6.30pm. So pop in, buy a glass of the local drop, and enjoy a casual, fun bit of music after work.

SUNDAY of the same weekend is the annual Picnic In The Park, where all the best wine, beer, and food producersplus great musicians gather at the picturesque Mirimbah Park at the base of Mt Buller for a day of food, beverages and music.

HCWC will be there with local wines from Barwite and Friday’s Child, along with(sadly) the last drops of Tin Shed Cider. Go to www.mtbuller.com.au for more info.
Enjoy these and everything else that Mansfield and the High Country have to offer this Marh.
