A big Thank you to everyone who has called into the shop during our opening weekend. Debbie and I very much appreciate the many positive comments, good wishes, and flowers we received.
Most popular wine to date is the Little River “Forgotten Hero” Petit Verdoh. This is a wine variety that is normally blended in small amounts into other red’s, and caught our eye and our taste buds as a stand alone style.
Forgotten hero is on our current tasting range, so come on in and see what you think.
Four whites and six reds feature on our initial tasting menu. Whites include Sedona Sauvignon Blanc 2012 from Murrindindi, Friday’s Child 2012 Riesling and Barwite Chardonnay 2008 from Barwite Vineyards, and St Winifreds Viognier 2010 from Barjarg.
Our red as Ros Ritchie 2012 Nebiolo, Little Cathedral 2010 Pinot Noir from Taggerty, Philip Lobley Cabernet/Merlot 2010 from Glenburn, Mt Cathedral 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon and the forgotten Hero, both from Taggerty area, and St Winifred 2006 Shiraz from Barjarg.
Summer is on the way (although struggling to string together a few warm days at present!) and we now have a lovely dry Rose in the range which makes for beautiful drinking in the warmer weather.
We are now gearing up for a busy time with the High Country Festival opening this evening in the main street, starting off with the traditional launch and Arts Walk from the “Big Red Tent”.
So come and visit us during the day, you’ll be amazed at the range on offer.
